VASCO DIGIPASS 820
The upgraded version of DIGIPASS 815 with more processing power and a larger display.
Overview:
DIGIPASS 820 is the upgraded version of DIGIPASS 815 with more processing power and a larger display. DIGIPASS 820 has a transparent top plastic through which the color of the keypad is visible. Logos can be silkscreen printed on the inside of the plastic making them resistant to wear and tear.
The special cut-out area in the plastic keeps the embossed
bank card number visible even when the smart card is inserted
in the reader. This makes it easy for end users when they need
to enter
both the card number and the one-time password into an application.
It has a two line dot matrix display with semi alphanumeric characters, giving full flexibility for text messages or icons to be shown. Two function buttons are available to confirm or cancel the input. The device has no on/off button and can only be powered by inserting the smart card.
DIGIPASS 820 has no real-time internal clock but can memorize internal variables, if needed.
DIGIPASS 820 has enough processing power to support all modern
smart cards and smart card
applications, including EMV-CAP applications.
Expected battery lifetime for DIGIPASS 820 model is typically
four to seven years (depending on the
number of uses per day and on the smart card power consumption).
Use
DIGIPASS 820 is used for special applications where an attractive design is required. A popular current use is as an unconnected reader for e-ID cards.
